Yoga for Pregnancy
Specialist classes for women looking to practise yoga through their pregnancy, it is suitable for those with no past experience of yoga or more experienced practitioners.
Designed for women in their second and third trimesters of pregnancy, yoga is an excellent method of preparing the body and mind for pregnancy, birth and beyond. The classes draw on both traditional yoga and Birthlight's 'Birthing Lightly' philosophy.
18.00 - 19.00
A class for those later in their pregnancy looking to prepare for birth. We use yoga to move into the instinctive body, allowing you to explore natural positions for labour. All of the poses will encourage baby into the best possible position (Optimal Foetal Position). Simple breathing exercises bring a sense of calm and focus to carry you through your birth experience. Deep relaxation using the Natal Hypnotherapy™ model create an atmosphere of trust and confidence in your ability to birth your baby.
19.15 - 20.30
This class is designed to support the pregnant body, keeping it stretched, toned and mobilised. Breathing and relaxation exercises give you and your baby space and time to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. This class is more suitable for women earlier in their pregnancy.
