  • Find natural ways to reduce pain in child birth;
  • Explore how your body works best during labour and what you can do to help it;
  • Increase birth partners’ confidence and establish successful supporting strategies;
  • Enhance the ability to communicate effectively with your medical team to create the birth experience you want; and
  • Be at ease with your birth experience.

A range of approaches to suit your needs, each component can be taken individually but work best as a whole.

Natural Pain Relief – A full day workshop using Natal Hypnotherapy to relax and inspire trust and confidence in your ability to birth your baby. Learn easy to use relaxation, visualisation, self-hypnosis and breathing techniques.

Effective Birth Preparation – Practical, pragmatic and effective. Learn not only about the physiology of birth and what practical steps you can take to maximise your birth experience, but also about the emotional context of birth and how you and your partner can get through it together. Explore practical comfort measures and establish a clear strategy for your partner to support you and communicate with your care givers. This is your chance to develop a range of personalised resources to take home and develop.

Both workshops will run throughout Stockport and Cheshire and can also be delivered to couples or small groups in the comfort your own home (e.g. Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Poynton, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Macclesfield).

Childbirth Preparation using Yoga and Relaxation – Taking aspects from both yoga and Natal Hypnotherapy we use the time to enhance the body’s ability to birth by maintaining strength and tone in the muscles needed to birth. We explore simple and effective breathing techniques and guided relaxations and visualisations from the Natal Hypnotherapy approach which can be used to carry you through the birth of your baby. These weekly sessions support and consolidate the work done in the full day workshops.
